Ready-to-adapt wording
SCAN FOR TODAY’S AGENDA See session times and room details [Place the QR code beside this wording]
Example wording. Replace the bracketed details before displaying it.
Tell people what they will get before asking them to scan. “View today's agenda” gives a TV QR code a clearer purpose than an unexplained square in the corner of a screen.
Prepare the destination page first. Then choose wording that describes that destination accurately and gives the visitor a reason to use their phone.
Menus and information
Use a short description such as “Open the drinks menu” or “View visitor information”. Keep the main reason to scan beside the code and leave enough clear space for the code itself.
If the screen already shows the menu or instruction the visitor needs, consider whether the QR code adds anything useful. It can carry the longer details without forcing everyone to read a dense display.
Event agendas
For a conference or workshop, the code can link to the full programme while the screen shows the next session. Use wording that makes the difference clear: the TV gives the immediate direction, and the phone page holds the full detail.
Test the destination on another phone before guests arrive. Make sure the page opens as intended and does not require an unexpected sign-in for the information you are offering.
Feedback
Explain what the feedback relates to and keep the invitation short. Link to the actual form prepared for the venue or event. V U This displays the QR link; the destination site handles the form or booking.
Check the displayed code
Open vuthis.com on the display browser, connect a controller and use the QR-code option with the intended web address. Show it on the TV and scan it from a realistic viewing position with a separate phone.
Check the code and its wording together. Keep the displayed destination current when the menu, programme or form changes.
For the display steps, use the QR-code instructions. Combine the wording with the [welcome-screen templates](hotel-welcome-screen-templates.html) or an [event running order](event-signage-running-order.html).
