Ready-to-adapt wording
WELCOME TO [EVENT NAME] Registration: [desk or room] First session: [time] Please follow signs to [location]
Example wording. Replace the bracketed details before displaying it.
The event name, room and next step on the reception screen. A useful welcome tells arriving visitors where to go before it tries to tell the whole event story.
These wording examples are for a hotel, conference venue or office reception. Replace the bracketed details with information you are authorised to display publicly.
Registration welcome
Start with the event or group name, then say where registration happens. A visitor who has just walked in needs the room or desk location more than a paragraph describing the event.
Use the same room names as the signs inside the venue. If the room is on another floor, include that detail where it is easy to read.
Before the meeting begins
Show the start time and where people should wait or take a seat. Keep the screen current if the programme changes. Avoid displaying visitor contact details or other information that does not belong in a public area.
If the agenda already exists as a PDF, use a short display-friendly copy rather than squeezing a long programme onto the welcome screen.
Room change
Put the change first: the session name, the new room and the relevant time. Keep the message visible while guests are likely to arrive, then replace it with the next useful instruction.
Check the screen from the entrance rather than only from beside the TV. The room and time should remain readable from the visitor's natural route.
Show the welcome
Open vuthis.com on the display browser and connect from a phone or laptop. Use Text for a short message, an announcement when its fields suit the notice, or Document for a prepared PDF. Choose Show now and check the result.
Follow the reception TV walkthrough for the connection steps. For the day as a whole, prepare an [event screen running order](event-signage-running-order.html).
