Ready-to-adapt wording
TODAY’S SPECIALS [Main item] — [price] [Second item] — [price] Served until [time] Please order at the counter
Example wording. Replace the bracketed details before displaying it.
Today's specials on the café TV, with the main choice and price readable from the queue. Use a short screen menu rather than shrinking an entire printed booklet onto one display.
The examples below are starting layouts. Replace the bracketed details with your actual menu information, then prepare the finished page in the document or design tool you already use.
Breakfast board
Give the board one clear heading, a small set of choices and the service time. Keep item descriptions short enough that the names and prices remain prominent.
If an item needs a long explanation, put that information where customers can read it more closely rather than crowding the screen. Check the smallest text from the point where people queue.
Lunch specials
A short lunch page can carry the day's soup, sandwich or prepared special. Use the heading to explain when the offer applies, and keep the current prices together with their items.
For a menu that changes daily, name the exported file clearly and replace the displayed PDF when the information changes. Give one person responsibility for checking the opening page.
Drinks and evening service
If one TV needs to serve several parts of the day, prepare separate pages for breakfast, lunch and evening service. Choose the relevant page from the controller at the changeover.
Fit page keeps a complete PDF menu visible. Fit width can enlarge a tall page, but a screen left unattended is often easier to use with a shorter layout that needs no manual scrolling.
Put the finished menu on TV
Export the page as a PDF. Open vuthis.com in the TV's usable browser or on its connected computer, connect from a phone or laptop and choose Document. Select the menu and choose Show now.
The PDF menu walkthrough covers that setup. Use the [screen-content plan](digital-signage-content-plan.html) when the same TV has different jobs during the day.
