Ready-to-adapt wording
TODAY AT [VENUE] [Session name] — [time] Please use [room or entrance] Ask [the event team / reception] for help
Example wording. Replace the bracketed details before displaying it.
Today's session, the right room and the next instruction on the hall's TV. Keep the notice clear enough for a visitor who has just walked through the door.
A community venue's screen can serve several groups through the week. A small set of current messages and a simple handover routine can make it useful without a complicated content calendar.
Choose today's information
Prepare the event name, room and time before the group arrives. Keep details that belong to another day off the opening screen. If the same room has several sessions, use a clearly named page for each changeover.
For a longer programme, make a short display version as a PDF. A document designed to be read closely on paper can need larger type and fewer lines on a screen.
Make room changes easy to understand
Put the new location first, along with the event or group it affects. A short, specific direction is more useful than a general notice saying plans have changed.
Check that the wording matches the signs in the building. If a volunteer takes over the display, leave the final file and the intended message together.
Give one person the controls
Open vuthis.com on the screen's usable browser or its connected computer. Connect a phone or laptop and choose the text, announcement or PDF the room needs. That device keeps the controls while the audience sees the selected content.
Both display and controller need internet access. Keep a basic opening check: current file, readable text and the correct room instruction. Review the screen when the group leaves so an expired notice does not stay prominent.
Prepare the next handover
Keep a small folder of final display files with clear names. Record which person changes the screen for the next session and which page belongs to that group.
Use the [event running order](event-signage-running-order.html) for a full day. The notice-board walkthrough gives the browser setup and content choices, while the PDF resource library supplies a sample document for testing.
